A Girl, a Camera and Autumn…

As we wait to see just how bad “Frankenstorm” will be, as our good friend Sandy inches closer and closer, I thought I would share some more autumn photos. While waiting to experience the wrath of nature, I wanted to remind myself of the beauty of nature.

To everyone in the path of the storm – I hope you’re safe and my heart goes out to anyone who’s homes are affected.

I hope these can bring some sunshine and smiles to those under gray skies, pouring rain and heavy wind…And fingers are crossed that we don’t lose power!

    1. Thanks! 🙂 We’ll just have to wait it out and take it all in stride…I just hope those getting the real brunt of the storm will have some respite soon.

  1. Oh these are spectacular … #5 is my favorite. I wish fall lasted a little longer! You’ve done a great job of capturing it! The weather up here isn’t too bad yet but I hear they’ve closed all the roads down where you are?? Stay safe and be sure to post any storm photos you get…

    1. Thanks, Paige! 🙂 I’ve always loved autumn, and it’s been so beautiful this year!
We’re alright so far – roads were closed to avoid problems, but we’re ok for now since we’re not on the coast…But we could lose power at any moment, unfortunately!

        1. I hope that you haven’t lost power, or that it’s been restored if you did. We were among the lucky ones who kept our power (a welcome change after losing power for a week last October with the snowstorm). The wind was definitely scary, but we weren’t too badly affected, thankfully. It’s terrible to see all the devastation caused over such a widespread area…I hope you’re doing well and you stayed safe during the storm!

    1. Thank you! 🙂 I kind of go crazy with the camera during autumn…But I’m very happy I did this year, since it was cut short with Sandy and all the leaves are gone now! Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. When I see pictures of trees like these I’m blown away by nature’s beauty, but also wonder at the magnificence of ‘America’, when your first European settlers arrived into that unimagined wilderness of majesty.

    1. Thank you for stopping by and commenting. I’m often in awe of nature’s beauty, and the colors this autumn have been particularly spectacular. Nature has so much breathtaking beauty to offer, and I can only imagine what it must have looked like untouched all those years ago! Thanks again for your comment and hope to hear from you again!
