A Walk in the Park

Today it’s a VERY gray and EXTREMELY rainy day – I had to put that capital emphasis, because it seems the skies just decided to open up and dump rain by the truckloads, not even bucketloads. On a positive note, the rain seems to really bring out the colors of the trees and I’m lucky I get to enjoy all that beauty from my windows. So, in order to brighten things up and share the beauty with others, I thought I would post some pictures I took on another gray and rainy day not so long ago!

A few days ago I went out for a walk after the rain. I find that the rain seems to cleanse everything so colors are brighter and more stunning after a rain shower. The gray clouds also somehow manage to enhance all the brilliant autumn colors and make for amazing spectacles of nature. I hadn’t planned on walking in this park, but as I passed by, the colors of the trees caught my eye and dazzled me. Those magnificent colors beckoned me, and the further I followed the park trail, the more amazing the scene became. I was rather grateful I just happened to choose that direction for my walk, because it would have been a real shame to miss out on all that beauty.

Oh, and as a little side note: I know there are a lot of pictures of that one bench, but I just fell in love with how beautiful and romantic it looked, nestled between the trees and with all those leaves on and around it.

I hope you enjoy seeing these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.

    1. Thank you! I’m really happy you enjoyed them 🙂 The rainfall and wind earlier that day had knocked down a lot of the leaves and just made for such a spectacular display on and around that bench.

  2. Absolutely gorgeous! I see what you mean about that bench- and there’s even that branch reaching from one tree to the other like a friendly arm!

      1. We are very lucky, because the town we live in is really lovely. There’s so much nature, parks and quaint little roads/town squares; it’s really nice in the winter when it’s all white and sparkling. I’ll make sure to share pictures of our winter season…and I do love the snow, but I hope it doesn’t come too soon, so we can keep enjoying autumn for a bit!

    1. Thank you for your kind comment! The fall is so beautiful in the New England states, and I’m really amazed every day at the constantly changing colors – it’s really fantastic, so I’m happy to share that beauty with others! Thanks again for stopping by, and I hope to hear from you again 🙂
